WORK WITH US

Join The Jack & Jill Family of Schools. The Family has been providing education since 1951 and is now one of the few remaining family-run educational establishments in the UK.

With thriving Nursery, Pre-Prep, and Prep facilities at our sites in Twickenham, Hampton, and Hampton Hill, all Jack & Jill schools focus on achieving high standards of behaviour and academic performance within a close, supportive ‘family’ environment, and through a broad and balanced academic curriculum.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is our highest priority, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Safer recruitment processes always apply for all roles, including an enhanced DBS check.

Vacancies at our Prep School

Join Clarence House Preparatory School (C.H.P.S.), a high-achieving, knowledge-led preparatory school for girls aged 7-11, based in Hampton Hill, Middlesex, specialising in S.T.E.M. subjects, with a science laboratory and Makerspace.

As well as being an enthusiastic teacher, you should also support the following key ideas:
Knowledge-Led Curriculum
At C.H.P.S. every teacher makes factual knowledge a priority. C.H.P.S. teachers understand that thinking well requires knowing facts, and that critical thinking processes such as reasoning and problem solving are intimately intertwined with factual knowledge that is stored in long-term memory. Pupils are quizzed about these facts at the beginning of every lesson. Pupils are tested on these facts at the end of each topic. Pupils are examined on these facts at the end of the year and – our exams are cumulative: we expect Year Six pupils to retain what they learnt in Year Three.

Grit
“Grit is perseverance and passion for long-term goals.” Angela Duckworth

At C.H.P.S. every teacher promotes the concept that developing passion and perseverance for learning – grit – is the essence of success; this insight influences how we teach, mark, display and assess.
