Fees: Nursery

New Government Early Years Funding

This year, the Government launched the new early years funding initiatives to support eligible working families.

How Does the Funding Work?

The new funding for children aged nine months and above covers 30 hours per week over 38 weeks of the year.

At Jack and Jill Nursery School these hours are offered as two models of fully funded nursery attendance, either through a term time plan (38 weeks) or a stretched full year model. See calendar link
Additional charges apply for extra hours beyond those included in the two models as well as for meals and consumables ie nappies, creams, etc if required. These are excluded from the Government funding scheme but parents are able to provide food and all consumables, meaning no charges for such items will be incurred.

When Will My Child Become Eligible?

Eligibility begins at the start of the term following your child’s birthday (or becoming 9 months old) .
Term start dates are:
  • 1st January
  • 1st April
  • 1st September
Please note that eligibility must be confirmed by HMRC before these dates; failing which your child's eligibility will be deferred until the next term.
